Who’s ready for summer in Detroit? We can’t wait for strolls along the Riverfront or the chance to dip our toes in the beach at Campus Martius Park.
While we get ready for food trucks and warmer fun, we’re also excited to get out and network. In Metro Detroit, there are a few key anchor events for our growing technology, creative, and entrepreneurship communities. Whether you’re interested in technology, non-profits, social enterprise, design or leadership there’s an opportunity to network and learn at these five upcoming large scale events.
Intermitten is a 1-day conference focusing on empowering entrepreneurship through inclusion, capital, & connection. Last year, Bamboo was proud to partner and host Intermitten visitors in Detroit. This year, the conference is back in it’s hometown of Ann Arbor. Speakers include founders, leaders, venture capitalists and more. Tickets are available now.
Ann Arbor has had quite the growing technology community, and every year it seems to grow bigger. It’s perfect for anyone curious about Ann Arbor’s tech ecosystem. Washington Street will be a part of “Mobility Row” to spotlight mobility innovation and hosting tech talks. Learn more about the schedule for Tech Talk here. Each stop on the tech trek often has food, refreshments, interactive displays and more.
Easily the largest pitch event in our city, Quicken Loan’s Demo Day is back this summer on Friday, June 14th. Each year a hand full of top Detroit small business and startups are chosen to pitch for up to $1 Million in cash and prizes. Often Dan Gilbert invites a founder on stage for an interview and discussion, before the pitch competition begins. We recommend reserving your free ticket early, as it will fill up.
