What started as an idea between four friends Amanda Lewan, Mike Ferlito, David Anderson and Brian Davis, has grown to thriving business hub. Through inclusive community, flexible modern offices, classes and networking events we help entrepreneurs and innovative companies launch, land, or expand in Downtown Detroit. We're now made up of more than 400+ diverse members. Our community of creators, entrepreneurs, national non-profits, scaling startups, and professionals generating an estimated revenue of $74 million annually.  

Bamboo has been honored nationally as a Top Shared Office Space in America, featured in ABC's 20/20, NPR Radio, Entrepreneur Magazine, Forbes, and honored by the City of Detroit.

Mike Ferlito
Co-founder, CFO


Mike Ferlito is Co-founder & CFO of Bamboo. Mike loves the world of real estate, having worked in it for almost 15 years. Mike has an MBA in Finance and leads the expansion of Bamboo’s real estate footprint, while also being involved in the greater development community of Detroit.

Amanda Lewan

Amanda Lewan is Co-founder & CEO of Bamboo. She leads Bamboo’s operational excellence, community programs, and strategic partnerships. She is also a Founder of Venture Catalysts, our 501c supporting large scale entrepreneurship events. She’s passionate about building founder communities, technology, Detroit, and the arts.

Kavya Davuluri supports Bamboo’s front desk team and community-led programming. Kavya is passionate about social entrepreneurship, having previously led OptimizeWayne, a student entrepreneurship program, and worked as a venture development assistant at Invest Detroit.

 

 

 

Terri Pierce lead’s Bamboo's day to day client support and operations. As a previous executive director at EY, she developed a passion in solving business issues through process change and technology via a focus on customer desires, customer engagement and service.

Bamboo Sales Lead

Bamboo is hiring for a sales lead who will own and manage our sales process, leasing space and selling membership and space rentals for a growing talented and innovative business community in Downtown Detroit. This includes:

  • Identifying and reaching out to corporate and group clients   

  • Conducting outbound calls and outreach for targeted business development and new sales

  • Manage our current inbound requests, answering questions, setting and giving tours

    This team member will get to work independent member will get to work independently but also alongside a small and growing team including the community manager to identify sales opportunities, support overall goals, and create value-add events / programs to grow your pipeline.

Full time. Downtown Detroit. Compensation base salary and commission.

Experience & Requirements
• Associates or Bachelors Degree
• 1-2 years minimum sales experience (ideally in sales, business development, real estate, or hospitality)

• Excellent interpersonal and networking skills. High emotional intelligence
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organization skills with the ability to multitask projects and relationships
• Passion for Detroit, real estate, and people
• Real estate experience a plus
