About the Detroit Business Opportunity Program
The Detroit Business Opportunity Program (DBOP) is an important component of the economic revitalization of Detroit and allows residents and developers the opportunity to identify Detroit Headquartered and Detroit Based Businesses. We offer certifications for Detroit Based, Detroit Headquartered, Small, Minority and Women Owned Businesses. We also offer Start-Up Certifications.
Once a business is certified with the Program, the City of Detroit Department of Civil Rights, Inclusion and Opportunity (CRIO) will promote your business through increased visibility of the company’s business type, certification and contact information on the Certified Business Register which is available through our department webpage.
All certified businesses will receive equalization credits and competitive advantages for procurement and contracting bidding opportunities with the City of Detroit and access to opportunities.
