Female Founder Fridays: Overcoming Imposture Syndrome

In honor of March Womens’ Month, we’re opening our doors to celebrate and connect female founders and leaders in Detroit. All are welcome to come and join us for an inspiring series of breakfast talks each Friday morning. We'll have fresh coffee and breakfast. Then, you can stay and work for the day too.

This week’s topic is overcoming imposter syndrome, especially for women of color. We're excited to host a panel discussion with the following local leaders.

Jessica Jackson, Managing Director Strategic Community Partners

Jessica Jackson is a native Detroiter who has worked within a myriad of educational contexts addressing access, retention, and success of diverse students. Jessica recently returned home and helped lead the summer launch of SMASH Academy here in Detroit, soon after joining Strategic Community Partners as their Managing Director. Jessica is a vocal advocate for self-care and self-preservation. She has mediated mental illness her entire life, and as a senior leader within Strategic Community Partners has had to learn to navigate high-stakes environments with confidence and ease. She identifies as a coach, an advocate and most importantly a human. She believes in balance and acknowledges and amplifies life's greatest paradox-- with beauty comes struggle.
