FOR ADVERTIZING OR SPONSORSHIP:
This is a concept that will launch in BETA that I have been working on for years. At first my aim was to create a space celebrating women of color in fashion.
As i became more involved in community organizing i realized the need for creating a space celebrating sustainable fashion marketed to women of color focusing on values & principles would be more useful to our planet.
In addition to being a hub of creativity we will host information about how we can be beautiful, stylish, groomed with care, & eco-friendly.
Participating in this live version will brings us one step closer to that goal. It’s an exciting time and a major milestone. I’m extremely grateful, as always, to the community for your active collaboration in driving this shared vision forward.
Thanks to everyone who helped us get here, whether you contributed on in our focus groups, reported bugs in Alpha, or helped spread the word. Everyone’s contribution counts.
With the launch of Beta, your continued feedback is as crucial as ever. What is or isn’t working? What do you love? What could be improved? What are you hoping for next? We’re all ears.
When I was working with corporate media conglomerates, because they have pillaged & colonized the world through the “power” of wealth they have amassed in the form of backing from big advertizing and connections to military they have the resources to keep us aspiring to live in the of lap of luxury from the most lavish to even the most mundane, I personally witnessed child slavery (as well as other atrocities thrust upon Native Peoples around the globe) on a regular basis. It literally crushed my spirit.
This sustainable fashion publication I’m creating is very humble in its means because it is self published through my own equity and ideas (and hopefully volunteers and contributors). It has a higher purpose and its purpose is to inform, inspire, & connect folks who care about our planet and expose Artisans, Craftspeople, Sustainable-focused Eco-conscious Fashion Businesses to one another and to potential Supporters as well as uplift & promote a Zero Waste Culture.
And having seen extreme poverty up close and personal through travel, I see that my goal is to leave as minimal footprint as possible while improving & protecting precious Mother Earth which includes The People.
If you care about who makes your clothing, what your clothing is made out of, how companies are “doing better” in business and for the environment, building a network to do international trade, supporting global local economies, style, and the business of Fashion, come through and hang out with like souls.
We’ll be meeting up in person and online.
